In our Rights and Protest unit, we will be examining two case studies:  the American Civil Rights Movement from 1954 to 1965, and the Apartheid Era in South Africa from 1948 to 1964. 

For each case study, we will be investigating: 

1.  The nature and characteristics of discrimination

2.  Protests and action against discrimination

3.  The role and significance of key actors and groups
